Uncommitted Mr. Hockey candidates...

F - George Grannis - Duluth Marshall (Previously played at Orono for Mark Parrish)
F - Lucas McGregor - Centennial
F - Garrett Worth - Duluth East

Goofer recruit Sammy Walker from Edina is the hands down favorite to win it, but McGregor and Worth would otherwise be on the short list.

Theres a kid who had some real interest in State before the whole coaching change thing came into play, great goal scorer without a doubt.

I wonder if any kids Larson recruited would want to follow him here.
I wouldn't mind someone like Jack Smith.

Would be nice to keep him closer to home.

That would be nice.

I also wonder if he'll go after Karki, though I would understand if they shied away from him based on character concerns.

Monty is leaving Denver for Dallas. Not sure if Larson will take a shot at any of Denver's recruits, but if he does, I imagine it would only be kids he already tried to recruit to UMD. Not sure if they'd take another crack at Guttman, but I doubt it. Guttman probably burned his bridges with Motzko too. Other potential targets include Bobby Brink (longshot) and Ryan O'Reilly (who decommitted from Omaha to play for Monty).

Not sure if Kevin Conley has signed his LOI, but he'd be a good steal from Omaha as long as the rats are fleeing the ship. He played at Sioux Falls for Oliver and alongside Walker.

Jaxon Nelson also played for Sioux Falls and I'm reasonably sure Motzko will cut him loose. I'm sure the Huskies could have him if they want him, but I don't see a lot of appeal in that. One upside is that he's young and may still find a way to turn it around at the USHL level. He could technically play juniors another three seasons. The other upside is that he'd be extremely motivated in games against the gophers. Is that enough to bring in a gopher reject? I guess we'll find out. I would think Bemidji would be a better fit.

I've never seen Jaxson Nelson play. But given his size and age I wouldn't cut him loose for at least another year or two.

I've got no inside info, but circumstances make Andover's Charlie Schoen a logical prospect.

Mack Motzko is transferring from St. Cloud Cathedral to Minnetonka.

Kind of wonder if he's still a big Husky fan since the move?
