That's what I meant by it not making sense, ASU is Pac-12 and the Conferences don't mix, plus there are rumbles like you said about the Pac-12 looking to add D1 Hockey.

And screw Kato AND Tech, I want Bemidji in the NCHC! ;)
That's 'cause they're my second fave team though, no competitive/SoS reasons haha

Hobey Baker: 2013 Drew LeBlanc!

I wouldn't mind ASU and AF moving in, but they would be the UAAs of the NCHC. I haven't heard grubles out of ND country, but I'm not that connected. It would be interesting if those movements happened. Though, I would be sad to lose Miami. If both happened, so we lost MIA and WM and adopted ASU and AF, it would practically make us the Western conference, lol.
Different strokes I guess. I think the conference needs a couple of dogs, actually. The conferences that are usually deemed the best are those that send the most teams to the NCAAs. When the WCHA was regularly sending 5-6 teams a year, it did so in large part because Tech and Anchorage were perennial bottom feeders. Hockey East sent 5 of 11 teams last year due to UMass and Merrimack and Maine and BU playing pretty weak. It's tough to send a boatload of teams to the tourney if everyone's splitting every weekend.

Very true. And with the amount of capital that ASU has, it might not take long for them to become a good team. It'll be interesting to see how this all plays out.

Brad Elliott Schlossman blog...
I mentioned yesterday that UND picked up St. Cloud Cathedral goalie Keegan Karki, who is off to the NTDP next season. I spoke with Karki today, who said he made visits to Wisconsin, Minnesota and Boston University before picking North Dakota.
