2 rip Tigers after 1, but the game isn't as close as the score suggests.

WHAT A GAME!!!!
The Huskies come back from 2-0 and 3-2 deficits to beat Colorado College 5-3 on the road!
Ryan Poehling nets a full-court SHORTY into the empty net to ice the game!
2 Goals on the night for him as well as Newell!
Ahcan continues to dominate as well, picking up 2 more Assists!

To me the biggest thing from this game isn’t the final score or highlight-reel Goals
It’s how the guys reacted after CC took back the lead right after we finally tied it; they didn’t fold or give up, they played even harder and found a way to retie and win the game
That’s the way a championship team plays

SSSSSWWWEEEEEPPPPP!!!!
The Huskies come from behind yet again with a pair of third period Goals to get the victory 2-1 and secure the huge NCHC road Sweep!!
The guys played fantastic aside from the penalties and just kept going until they got the W
Also, CC's radio guy is SUPER unprofessional, his junk about the penalty that lead to the GWG and the GWG itself after the game was garbage and hurt the broadcast; not to mention when he got butthurt about the post-second period hit by Jack(?) while praising his guy for taking a shot multiple seconds after the buzzer

I don't care who CC wants to broadcast there games, but the league can't be allowing a guy like that to be on NCHC TV. Excusing a player for completing a break away when the horn blew prior to the blue line is one thing, but his immature cheap shots at Robby Jackson were pathetic. I guess it was Robbys job to hear a whistle that hadn't yet been blown. In another instance a CC player gives a Husky the shoulder as he skates by after the whistle and this idiot calls out the Husky player for basically getting into it when he was the one who got hit, and did not respond in any way. There's a difference between being annoyingly bias and what this guy does.

I will not be able to post much today, maybe tonight if someone else wants to do the links.
The announcer must have not been around hockey for awhile to know that shot is a big no-no, especially when David Hrenak is signalling it. Time expired before he reached the blue line.
Anyway, I am really curious who's going to replace Mick Hatten, especially with all of the husky production interviews and all of the other things he's been involved and informed with.

If the on screen clock was right (play by play guy mentions 10 seconds right when it says 10 seconds) then the horn went off as he was a few feet past center ice. In arena audio is almost nonexistent so it's tough to say for sure. Poehling earned his penalty but that needed to be a game misconduct on the shooter. It's one thing to skate it all the way down in frustration but shooting it in net is a no no.
On the play where Robby Jackson gets in late a CC player cross checks Brodzinski from behind which ends up tripping a CC player in the crease right as Jackson is skating in towards another player and rather then skating into the fallen Tiger Jackson goes down to stop himself.
That's enough dwelling on that, that was a fun way to start league play with a couple late comebacks scoring the winners with 3:25 and 2:10 remaining in the game. Take those wins and run and come seasons end there's a good chance they play big in winning or contending to win the Penrose.

Larson told the Times that he wanted to let Hrenak get into a groove and back on/stay on his game after Friday was so weirdSlapShot wrote:Any insight on why Smith didn't get the start on Saturday? I would prefer Hrenek get the majority of the starts, but I thought Larson was going to be rotating them.
ie. CC had a number of Grade-A's in the first and then nothing save a (un)fortunate Goal the rest of the game, including ONE shot on net in the second
