Mine got to Bismarck on Wednesday. I would contact Chad Sheetz.

For what it's worth the Huskies climbed into a tie for 15th in the pairwise last night. Given all the panic I saw last Friday about an at large bid being out of the picture that's probably relevant information. This is looking more and more like two years ago where the flip between over and under .500 will be right about on the pairwise at large bid line given we still have 6 or 7 games (only 2 at home) prior to the playoffs against teams in the pairwise top 3. Maybe we could even get in under .500 if that was allowed, but it isn't so who cares.

Of course 15 is out but if they split out they will be at about 10

I think that grimes is in the right direction here. The key is that we need wins on the road against very good teams (UMD/DU). I'm not confident that they can do that. I've heard that Storm is causing lockerroom drama with not getting started. Not a good sign, if true.

I went and put in a split every weekend at college hockey news giving us a win over Bemidji and a loss over whoever we play in the 2nd game in the Minnesota Cup, it came out 13 although I would imagine that's on the low end as the league is only going to gain by playing itself. That being said if we're only one game over .500 going into the playoff we risk falling under if we're swept in the first round. In any event these games against middling teams are huge to sway the math in our favor because I don't expect to finish .500 against Duluth and Denver.

So long as we take care of business this weekend and in our remaining home games (Sweep MU and CC, Split or better w/ DU) and get at least 2 Splits on the road we'll make it in the NCAA's with breathing room I should think; plus, that SHOULD be enough for home ice in the NCHC Playoffs and that will help to get a couple more W's (uh, so long as we forget about The Debacle of 2014 haha).
Honestly, the loss to UConn wasn't a bad loss as they're a good team, it just was a let-down to not bring home any hardware.

In my mind it's still a bit early to worry about PairWise yet, and the boys are in The Dance if the season ended today anyways, so I'm looking more at Home Ice in the NCHC Playoffs, and we've done enough so far to hold on to that but this weekend is CRITICAL

Given the schedule 5-1 at home shouldn't be asking to much but this team hasn't proven they see much advantage at home, granted the home schedule was pretty tough thus far.

I was more disappointed with how they played against Arizona State than the UCONN game.

I thought way too many were playing to their level or just going through the motions. The eek out win wasn't Husky hockey at all. I don't think Bob would have been happy.

Excluding the Poehlings, Papas and Petersons who always put out max effort.

I can't figure out Miami though. They were swept by a lot of teams I wouldn't expect and then last week they destroy a pretty good Ohio State team.

I'm a little on edge this weekend and not sure what to expect since we haven't done well in Oxford in the recent past.

I don't know what's up with the goalie thing either unless the coaches see something we don't or Driscoll was hurt.

This weekend will define a lot for this team going into the road series in Duluth. Like Rabid said last week, last weekend was a beginning season regression in my mind.

mdneilson has it right where there are a few players that need a little fire lit under them or a statement made by the coaches. Getting way to comfortable.

OSU is also a pretty big rival for Miami. Time to change our luck out east.
