Terharr also mentioned at the top of the show that the Huskies are rated #2 in the early Pairwise rankings. As he was talking, Motzko watched television, muttering "It's only November, for heaven's sake!"
Always fun trolling bob with rankings and polls.

Izzi and I miss the show :(

Motzko assistants and other diehards continue to make regular appearances. It is nice to meet and talk to all the player guests. Also short meetings with coach to review strategy.

Robby Jackson is the player guest.

Listening to Bob talk about the team, I am wondering if last week's Fri/ Sun threw the team off this week. Why they were so flat/ no energy on Sat.

Missed it during the show last week but apparently we do not have a show until January 4th. Was just mentioned on air before the end of Saturday's post game show.

Motzko Show 1-4-15 Segment 1, 2 and 3 available.
Judd Peterson is the player guest.

I was surprised Coach mentioned the poor officiating on Sunday.
I thought the officiating was great on Fri and Sat and then DS (he who should not be named) shows up.
US team was doing some shady slough footing early and he looked the other way.
Nice follow up to that UNO Sat. nightmare. He seems to hate SC for some reason.

I thought ASU played hard too but offensively they weren't very patient, gave it right back to us on the dump most of the time. Someone mentioned they had the "fear of Schuldt" in them in the second game.

When they switched from the 1-2-2 to 2 forecheckers we had some trouble. We did hit the open left wing though. Then later they shut that down but we started hitting the right side. Some nice adjustments.
I forgot how Ethan took over, nice leadership, he should have had the hatty.

Second game both teams looked a lot better. I thought the ice was better Sun too, it was really bad Fri eve.

I also liked how the US team transitioned in the neutral zone. Some nice curls and good support. We had some nice stick on puck by our D.

Since the rink was empty, I shouldn't be so surprised as to be the one making this announcement here. But Chuck announced before the game that DS (Derek Sheppard) is retiring.

THAT WAS HIS LAST GAME!!!

Yeah, when Chuck announced that DS was one of his favorite officials we just kind of burst out laughing, neither myself nor anyone in the (depleted but still) Dog Pound could believe what we were hearing haha

Pretty obvious why he chose Sunday for that little announcement hahaha

Wait what - is this for real? If so, that's the best news I've read in a while.
