I don't think losing to Miami would be embarrassing. They were picked for 1st in the conference and were the #1 ranked team in the preseason for a reason. That's a good team. The season hasn't worked out and they have not gotten the goaltending they did last year but it's not like losing to these guys would be like dropping a playoff series to Tech or UAA in the old WCHA. The #1 seed didn't lose often in the WCHA, but I won't be shocked to see it happen every other year or 2 out of 5 if the teams in this league keep getting talent like they have.
I think Miami is going to come in hard and view this as a chance to wipe the slate clean and try to be what people thought they were. For us, we know we are in the tourney and we have a nice big shiny piece of hardware and even losing this series would not diminish that. I don't think either team will feel a lot of pressure Friday, but that will change after game 1.
I agree with you Rabid that they are better then their record indicates, however if we do lose the series, you know we will hear about it. They won't mention the things you did, just that we lost/choked to the 8th seed.

If you're Miami the mindset should be why not be the team that rattles off 8 wins to win a national championship. If you're the Huskies, at least in the back of the mind, you know the penalty for losing this weekend is a week of rest. Miami should sell out to block every shot, the Huskies might not. Like the series in Miami two weeks ago the emotions and attitude on the Miami side can flip fast if things start to go wrong. I think the team that wins Friday sweeps, and that will probably be the Huskies.

Hi! New user here... I REALLY hope we win the series this weekend, as I won the 80s Night contest at the Hockey Center and claimed the free Frozen Faceoff tourney package tickets! Would be nice to watch the Huskies there! BTW, can anybody tell me how to add a profile pic on here? Thanks, Brian

Boom, done.
It's almost like it's something bigger than yourself.

Mick Hatten is saying Morley will be paired with Tedesco and Milan. Kind of a wacky mixture for sure--but I like it!
Bob Motzko should be the heavy favorite to win Coach of the Year--Brittain for best goalie, and Archibald for best forward.
I wouldn't count out Nic Dowd being named league MVP.
Leaving Jonny Brodzinski off the All-NCHC team altogether is insane! All of a sudden this series has more intrigue and drama than just a few days ago.

I have my tickets but I just noticed on Dish the game will be join in progress at 8:30 according to the guide. Of course with the internet stream thats not as horrible news as it could be, and maybe they join in earlier, but just another reason why not a single person will subscribe to Dish or cable 5 years from now unless they make major changes such as not making me pay a dime to ESPN.
