Yes, by playing a year of college hockey. I believe being a full time ACHA student starts your NCAA eligibility clock, so he’ll be a sophomore academically and athletically playing with the varsity team.

Looks like we picked up another forward for this coming year, Thomas Rocco.

He'd be the 16th forward according to my recruiting chart, which leads me to believe that we might be deferring or departing from a current recruit. Enebak is the lone Motzko recruit lined up to come in.

Also, based on the background and statistical performance, I'm guessing Rocco is probably a recruited walk-on.

Is it possible Molenaar spends another year in the USHL?

Mick's list of incoming freshmen solidifies the recruiting chart. As was speculated, Molenaar is playing another year of juniors.

Just wondering how he confirmed Jaxson Castor? I don't see any transactions on elite prospects and there is nothing listed on hockeydb. No commitments on College Hockey Inc. etc..

Not a big mystery, Mick got it straight from the coaches. They're on pretty friendly terms.

So how did you find out about it early? Coaches? You know Mick?

So after seeing what Binnington and Shepard have done for their teams how do you shape up our goalies going into next year? Any of these 3 have a championship caliber run in them? Thoughts on a rotation or riding Hrenak all the way?
All 3 have good size, have you seen them or know if we have some great athletes back there?

Interesting that Castor chose to play a year with our club team instead of playing another year in the USHL.

Torture me all you want, I'll never reveal my sources!

My opinion is that they'll ride Hrenak and work in Lamoreaux for cupcake non-conference games, but that's not based on any inside info.

Unless we hear different, I'm assuming Castor is a true walk-on and that he was just playing club to stay sharp and the coaches were impressed enough to promote him to varsity.

Personally I hope they give Lamoreaux a bit more than that; he was playing pretty well on an awful team until that eventually caught up with his stats some. He's probably the heir apparent unless Randazzo is markedly better. Certainly my opinion is not based on any inside info, and never has been. Because I have none. :D
