It'll be very interesting to see what happens to our committed recruits with the coaching change. If Gibbons or Raboin take over, it'll probably look mostly the same. If it's somebody else, all bets are off.

A wholly new coach would take a look at all the commitments starting with the recruits who've already signed LOI's. He'll likely enforce the LOI's for the guys he likes. He's free to jettison the recruits he doesn't like, even if they signed LOI's.

Dealing with the verbal commitments gets a bit more complicated. If they are older, he can simply pick up the phone and call them. This applies to everyone who is currently a HS junior or older. He'll let them know if he's still interested or not, but there's a good chance they'll end up renegotiating the offer in terms of scholarship percentage.

The younger recruits are tricky. He can't technically call or email the kids who are sophomores this season (at least until July). The Huskies have five such recruits. There are ways to communicate with them through intermediaries, but ultimately they'll have to reach out to the new coach in order to initiate a conversation.

Assuming all the committed recruits still want to come here, I'd guess that 4-5 are in real danger of having their offers pulled. For the program, this could be a blessing in disguise if a recruit hasn't progressed as much as the previous coaching staff had hoped. The downside is that most of the good recruits have been taken by this point, so filling those roster holes with better players isn't a given. The upside to surviving recruits/players is that last minute recruits are often walk-ons, meaning that scholarships might be re-balanced in their favor.
It's almost like it's something bigger than yourself.

I'd be surprised if that many had them pulled. I think every one for next year is safe if they want to come and I think most of the HS kids are.either established enough (Brodz, Warner) or too young still (Pino, Miller, Troumbly, Kinnear) to cut bait on them.
Only real ones for me are Enebak (likely gone anyway) and maybe Ward...but this was his 1st junior season.
I think we would see more kids moving on their own than having offers pulled by a new staff...especially if Gibby and Raboin are still here.

Big news. Pretty strange for paperwork to be signed while coaching is unknown.

Shows he's committed to the school and not a staff.
