I never much liked Montgomery--players play chippy when they don't have to. Monty often has that smirky little grin on his face. Hope this comes back to haunt him. I'm thinking that might start Feb. 23 and 24 at the Concrete Center. He broke the "unwritten rule" that you don't tamper with players that have already verbally committed. Maybe Guttman just changed on his own. I doubt that.

Still an open forward spot for next season with a couple of options. Personally, I'd be fine with offering Randklev that spot straight out of high school if that's what it takes to land him.

Otherwise, I'm assuming that Miller and Walker will be coming for sure. Other options include Ward, Enebek, and Hentges. Ward would be a true college freshman straight out of the NAHL. I doubt the Huskies would want to do that unless he truly demonstrated his proficiency at the junior level. It doesn't look like he's doing that at this point. As for Enebek, I frankly doubt he ever pulls on a Husky sweater at this point based on his struggles in the BCHL, but I wish him the best and hope he proves me wrong. Hentges is injured at the moment, but he has exploded in the USHL straight out of Totino Grace HS and was rewarded with a roster spot on Team USA for the World Junior A Challenge. He'd be my preferred candidate at this point... other than using the spot as bait for a prospect like Randklev, of course.
