Still so cool to see Ward commit to SCSU; and to read this was his dream school? :D

So he's 2 years out then, NAHL this year and USHL 2018

This whole thing with MSHSL sucks, it's effectively cost us one of the all-time great Moose; so between that and the fact he's looking at a future in Cardinal and Black, I'm glad he's choosing Juniors early to help improve his game.

Well Annendale isn't but my guess is central MN is just producing better players now.
Meier may be the 1st Sabre to play D-1. I can't find one.

Matt Doman was a Sabre who played for Wisconsin in the early 2000's if memory serves correctly. Dahl recruited him but he chose the Badgers.

SB Nation College Hockey Recruiting/Junior Hockey/NHL prospects
USHL Fall Classic: Day 1 Recap

In the second game of the day, Sioux Falls erased a 2-1 deficit by scoring four goals in the third period to slip past Green Bay by a score of 5-3. Linemates Nolan Walker and Matt Quercia led the way with a goal and an assist each.

They also have a paragraph about John Schuldt-Uncommitted Watch, Jimmy's little brother.

John has been on my watch list for a while. He's a perfect walk-on candidate, but I'm sure he's holding out for some sort of scholarship offer.

Picked up a new commit in Sam Hentges, formerly played his high school hockey at Totino Grace, playing this year in Des Moines of the USHL. Smaller but skilled player seems to be his scouting report.

very well could be. Looks like another site lists him at 6'0" and 170.

Regardless. We all know Motzko does not recruit based on size anyway. He likes talent and compete level. Seems to work just fine for him. Welcome Sam!

John just committed to UNO. Good for him. Probably wouldn’t have the same opportunity at SCSU.
