So many Minnesotans on that list, shows the dominance of Minnesota high school hockey even with so many great players leaving early for juniors. Good to see Mitch on that list though, kid is going to be a solid player when he arrives on campus.

USHL regular season ends, all our guys but Essyimont make the playoffs. Interesting thing on Essyimont, he finishes with 30 points, Fargo scored only 122 goals. Nearly 25% of all Fargo goals had Essyimont involved. Not bad for the worst scoring team in the league. In contrast, Winiecki finishes as our top USHL scorer with 50 points, but Waterloo scored 240 goals. So Winiecki has points on just under 21% of Waterloo's goals. Just something to keep in mind when digesting numbers.

Those percentages look mighty fine though, shows our recruits can put up numbers in good and bad situations.

Seen rumors in several places now that Indiana will be going dormant next season so the USHL will add 2 teams, but lose one. Will be interesting to see where Newell/Slattery end up.

One of the more hyped kids to commit here thats for sure, kid has big time skill and is going to be a special player for us hopefully. Also nice to see us pick up another metro player, hopefully this opens the door for more as well. But this is a big time pickup and I cannot wait to see him suit up in the cardinal and black.

Wasn't he committed to UMASS? Why the change of heart? I thought this stuff only happened in basketball and football? LOL

I don't know for a fact, but you could probably guess based on the circumstances. Brandon Wahlin committed to UMass. Jake then committed to UMass. Brandon got very little playing time and decided to leave UMass. Jake decommitted and began his search for a new school.
