19-7-0 1.99GAA .932SV% 3SO.
Just a junior as well

Had mixed results in the elite league.
Went 9-5 with a 3.59GAA and an .882SV% for Team Northeast
But for Team White, which won the invitational tourney, he went 3-0 with a 2.05GAA and a .929SV%

Will be one to keep an eye on. Wonder if he stays with Eastview next year or pulls a Lee and heads to the USHL for his senior year. If Reijola can progress into a solid backup, we won't need him for a couple more seasons yet.

Was a teammate of Slattery's on Team Northeast and Team White as well

Another solid pick up.

Is it just me or do we have more commitments now then we have ever had before?

I wonder if recruiting is going easier for the coaches then in the past?

Maybe they can start to become even more picky with who they are offering?

Two conference championships, a trip to the FF, and a remodeled arena have to help.

It could be partially that, but it's more likely just a natural fluctuations based on the class sizes. We've got very big junior and sophomore classes (9 each). So, our incoming 2015 and 2016 classes will be big. You'll notice that most of the recruits fit nicely into one of those two classes.

The big question mark is next season. We've only got two seniors and we're not expecting any early departures, so it'll be interesting to see who comes in.

We have 4 Sr's and three that play regularly. Dowd, Gravel, Thorson and Burrell. I am a little worried about Broadzinsky and maybe even Prochno.

Prochno is a great college player but won't be offered an NHL contract... probably an ATO. I'm not sure if he'd be interested in that.

Brodzinski will be offered a very nice contract. He's stated all along that he wants to finish his degree, but we'll see if the money talks louder.

So, we could lose both, but we could also keep both. I'd be more worried about Kossila taking a deal from the SM Liiga.

Only one I'd be worried about is Brodz. But while he is an elite scorer, he is far from a complete player yet and leaving early could hurt in the long run.

Both Brodz and Koss have said they're here for 4, for sure.

From what I hear, Brodz's brother coming from the U is a very real possibility, but would have to sit next year (or go down to the USHL). If Jonny wanted to play with him, he'd have to stay for his senior year.

"Only one I'd be worried about is Brodz. But while he is an elite scorer, he is far from a complete player yet and leaving early could hurt in the long run." Spot on. Not many players that leave early (that aren't huge Parise-type impact players) manage much success in the NHL. They frequently get lost in the CHL/ECHL/AHL.

Kossila values an American college education, and has another friend coming in next year (Mika). I believe his goal is to improve enough to play North American hockey. For that, he needs to train and play here.

Faragher has stated publicly that he's considered/considering leaving this summer. Whether you like his play or not, losing a good starter in net, especially one with tourney experience, is a tough loss.

I was wondering about Faragher a little bit, wouldn't surprise me either way.

What is this about Michael transferring here?? Interesting if true.

Rumor, nothing more. Word is that Michael didn't like being a healthy scratch. (Who would?) Outside of that, I'm sure we can think of a million reasons why he'd prefer SCSU, but I imagine he's busy trying to help his current team win a National Championship. I highly doubt he has made up his mind at this point considering there is still hockey left to play. NCAA tourney results will almost surely have some bearing on his decision.

Honestly, I'm indifferent to the idea of him transferring here. We've got a lot of good defensemen in the pipeline. However, if he does decide to come over, I'll welcome him with open arms.

I doubt Michael B. would transfer. I am not sure if we would want him anyway. Kid is a great hockey player. But I think he is the type of kid that fits in at the UofM and not so much at SCSU. SCSU's locker room is full of very competitive, hard working, and humble young men. While I know Michael shares 2 of those 3 qualities, I am not so sure about the 3rd.

I'm guessing you mean you have a concern he isn't humble. My question, how would you know? I think with his brother here he wouldn't be an issue. Kid can play and if he hates it at MN, come on up.

I think he is in Don Lucia's doghouse right now. He's made some bad retaliation penalties(temper and reminded me of Hepp) and I saw him fall down on a routine defensive play against Ohio State. Don was fervently jotting notes on his pad.
I also think he was injured and was a healthy scratch earlier this season for some reason.
Hopefully it is just a freshman thing and he gets through it. Hopefully he is developing and learns from it. I wish him all the best.

That is why it is a concern, I don't know, but it is always a factor to consider. Knowing his family, I can't imagine that he's too big headed.
