First time in about five years that I'll end up missing a home game, worse yet it's the first series against the roadkill. Wedding to go to, the groom is lucky he's my brother or I wouldn't likely show.

You can buy then now. You won't find out where your seats are until after renewal season ticket holders have to have their money in. That date has changed over the years and seems to get earlier and earlier. I would guess early to mid July on that date.

Just curious, the Nov 1 game at the X against Duluth....are a bunch of you guys getting tix for that game? My wife and I are getting tix for with another couple. Would be nice for UMD to have that as their home game and have more Husky fans in attendance.

It's UMD's home game, so I'm guessing many SCSU fans in the metro area will be buying tickets. I will be there for sure. Any game at the X is a good game.

Since we're coming back to the area, I think the wife and I will try to get there.

The one kick to it all is both games are being sold as a one game package deal I believe, so Goofer and Purple Cow fans will more than likely be scattered as well.

Being our game is at 4 p.m. though maybe the crowd won't be so pro Gopher yet.

I heard UMD, Mankato, MN and SCSU ticket holders are going to be offered tickets first. I know these games are officially Mankato and Duluth homes games, so are they goign to get more tickets than us and the Gophers? Are they goign to split the seats even four ways? If you think about it 18,500 split 4 ways is 4,625 per team. I guarantee SCSU can sell that many tickets if given that many. That would be a really cool way of doing it, but will they?

Moving back end of June, don't know what I'll be doing. My station laid off 2/3 of the news staff and I was one of 17 let go.

They killed 2 anchors, 3 photogs, 2 editors, 1 reporter, 3 master control people and 4 out of the 5 producers along with the GM and news director.

Nice thing is I'm getting a severence out of it. Amy will get a massage job no problem, me, I need to decide if I want to stay in news or not. Everything out here just sucked, the whole "Michigan experience" wasn't for us.

Anyone know of any job openings for a kid with a mass comm degree? ;)

NBC, the company who owned us, Barrington broadcasting, slashed jobs at all 15 of their stations.

I am thinking of trying to break back into play by play doing high school stuff in the cities.
