Good stuff when we come on the ice beginning each period.

BEST: What's that techno song they play when we hit the ice for start of game? Also, the 2nd period song is some rock song I have no idea who sings, and the 3rd period is Aerosmith Back in the Saddle.

They stole Fenway Park's Sweet Caroline 2nd Intermission song, that the Red Sox have played for years during the middle of the 8th Inning (good YouTube clips of that too). That's pretty cool though that we did that.

Worst: Good god, get rid of the opening Let's get ready to rumble already......That's like as old as Whoomp There it is. Welcome to the jungle is getting very old too.

You just can't do away with "Welcome to the Jungle." It has become Husky Hockey, for god's sake.

Also like the traditional "Lets get ready to rumble"--especially the three bell clangs to start it. Then we KNOW it's Husky Hockey Time!!

They are weird. Thanks for the Groups. Do u happen to know what song they play at the start of the second period? It's more of a rock song. Aerosmith I know is the 3rd period.

Just curious, I'm trying to download on limewire a disc of stadium music for my nephew.

I always enjoyed when the dog pound sang tainted love. Also there is the Tommyboy remake of bang on the drum all day. Here is a sample.

I don't want to go to class, I just want to drink from the keg all day. :D

Can't remember what is played after the second int.  A couple of songs I liked from around the 2000-2001 season are Campione by E-Type, and Jellyhead by Crush.  Also the intro of a remixed version of Tootsee Roll was pretty good.

Agreed, that's the song that most people know to get on your feet and behind the team. Why do you think the flag is always raised during it? The flag will have to leave more than likely before the drop that from their list of songs to play. And at this time most of us know how likely that will be ;)

I understand it's been a signature song but it also reminds me of the North Stars at the Met. I'm just saying it gets kinda old and BTW, that song is "Husky Hockey," along with every other teams arenas that play that song. That's kinda my point.

The thing I've noticed though is that the Huskies usually use it near the end of the game when we need to tie it up, get ahead or take the lead. 95% of the time you can expect it to be played somewhere in the last five minutes of play and 97% of the time when it's during that time period and one of the teams takes a time out. Other places I've been to (granted its a small amount of places) They'll play it some other time during the game, hardly even during the last few minutes as a due or die song.

I myself like that and the student sections, the Dog Pound in particular go crazy to it, no other song played get them going that strongly.

I remember when they used to play it two different times during the game, one already mentioned the other being either before the second or just before they'd come out for the warm ups.

I really don't know any who don't like it other than those who might have to wave the flag. And considering there's really only one who's been waving it all year I know she loves the song even if they may kill her arms when it's added to an extended TV time out/Time out. ;D ;)

Welcome to the Jungle could go in my opinion.

They always play it when we are down 1 in the 3rd to get everyone to stand up and try to create hype. Then everyone sits down 15 seconds later and the huskies usually go on to lose. I think its bad luck... :-?
