Home Ice is on the line and so is the NCAA's. If they get swept there will be no NCAA tourney and no home ice. If they split they should be in good shape if they can win there first round series.

By the way I am huge Tech fan this weekend. not only because they play mankato, but because we need them to stay a tuc!

We need a win, a tie won't even help us if that's all we get.

Yes the Sioux are unbeaten in 15, but the last team to beat them was us, and we are playing well right now.

I think we get the win and host UW.

CC 28 41

UND 28 39

Denver 28 35

Mankato 28 28

SCSU 28 28

UW 28 27

UMN 28 25

UMD 28 23

MTech 28 22

AA 28 12

Under this scenario

CC sweeps UAA

UND sweeps Tech

DU beats UMD in 3

UMN beats Kato in 3

SCSU beats UW in 3

Potential for us and the gophers in the play in in St. Paul. :o

All we need is one win to get home-ice. What MSU does is totally arbitrary. Yeah, we can still finish 4th with help from MTU, but we NEED two points or we're going on the road.

Although a W would be awesome versus the Sioux, two ties is also a possible scenario...although it sure doesn't seem to be likely.  For this weekend, go Tech!

2 points is the goal. Say Kato takes 2 or more points from Tech and we get a split. If Minny sweeps UMD, we would play Minny and not Sconny. Wow this is tight.

The Sioux are a good team, but some people on USCHO make them to god or something. If this team can go into CC and win they can win at the Ralph.

All season, it seems the Sioux play really well in one game and squeak by in the second game. Lately though they have won the close ones unlike earlier when they would split every series. Hopefully the fact they have played a couple teams lately that have offensive issues will only be a good sign that we can go in and steal a road win this weekend.

You would think, but I will believe it when I see it. I am predicting a Sioux sweep this weekend. I hope I am wrong.

It's not as though they beat a murder's row of teams to get this streak.

They played a DU team that was hurting and blew a 4-1 lead on friday, they beat Kato before Kato started their run, they beat UAA which is well, UAA, MN who can't score goals, same for UMD, same for Tech, and BSU who while they are leading the CHA is barely above .500 overall. Those teams are a combined 100-102-36 (.495) on the season, 4 of them are the bottom 4 in our league and only one (Kato) has a winning record since we last played UND on Jan 5th and that started after UND played them meaning they were still playing poorly then.

MTU 3-8-3

MSUM 8-6-1

UAA 1-11-3

MN 3-4-7

DU 6-7-1

BSU 7-6-1 (0-2 NC)

UMD 5-7-2

Total 33-49-18 (.420) and the WCHA teams are 26-43-17 (.401)

We are 7-4-1 since we last played UND and while yes, our competition does include UMN, MTU, UAA, MSUM we also played UW (7-5-4) and CC 10-3-1) so our competition since Jan 5th has gone 32-37-19 (.472) and are 89-85-34 (.510) on the season. All our games were in conference, and all of our losses are to teams playing above .500 hockey since Jan 5th (UW, CC, MSUM)

This team can be beaten and we're just the team to do it.

I predict a split. Our PP will carry us to at least one win against the WCHA's most penalized team.

I agree the Huskies can beat UND. I can go as far as to say the Huskies SHOULD beat UND at least once in this series, but again I have this feeling it isn't going to happen. These feelings I get have carried me to 3rd place so far in the Times pick em contest so I would say my feelings are better than your numbers. :o ;) ;)
