He also thinks private schools are inherently evil as they steal all of those high-end hockey players from Irondale.  ::)  If it weren't for Totino-Grace, Benilde, St. Thomas, and Hill-Murray the Knights would return to their prominence of yesteryear.  ;D

Na, I don't care about my high school. I didn't like when I went there, so there is no reason to like it now. ;D

Private schools are evil though and schools like Hill and Totino use my money I give the church to fund non catholics who are good at sports to play for them.

Here's another link to some 2009 draft rankings.  Three uncommitted college elligible players are listed; Jeremy Morin, Dylan Olsen, and Erik Haula.  Oh my... who's that guy ranked 25th?  :o ;) ;D

Basically every small town school in southern minnesota doesn't have hockey. A large part of central and western Minnesota as well.

I'm surprised they don't combine together to play like some schools do up north or in football.

they would have to build rinks then and most of those commuities don't want to spend the money. In communities up north hockey is a part of the community and a sense of pride.

The USHL preseason has started, and there's a few players on my watchlist that SCSU would almost certainly have an interest in...

Indiana

89/D - Joe Hartman - Huge, from St. Cloud, scored a goal in his first game

89/F - Dan Cecka - Hill Murray, good size, great HS player, three points in his first game

Green Bay

90/D - Nick Jensen - From Rogers, great offensive HS player

88/F - Michael Forney - Left North Dakota, may or may not return there

89/F - Ryan Furne - See Dan Cecka minus the points

Omaha

89/F - Ben Arnt - North St. Paul  connection, shame on you if don't know what the connection is!

Des Moines

90/D - Nick Pryor - Do you not read?

Sioux City

88/D - Alex Stuart - From Sauk Rapids, IMHO, either he earns a scholarship this season or he walks on to SCSU next year

There are plenty more uncommitted Minnesotans around the league, but these in particular have to be under Motz & Co's microscope.

I'd love to get Hartman and NIck Jensen from this list. Honestly, what are you guys' feelings on the chances of us scooping up Pryor now that he couldn't get into Wisco? Think Motzko would be interested?

Depends how low his ACT score was. If it was 17 or 18, I doubt he would be interested. It also depends if Motzko feels he is a player he wants to sign. motzko might think he is over rated?
