It looks like Harbinson is going to leave Penticton to assist at UNO. I makes me wonder if somebody at UNO is leaving. Hmmmmmm....

Congrats to some of our new and current league teams in post season playoffs! I'm cheering for all of them to advance and hopefully we can get a few in Tampa.

I cry no tears for the goofers loss, just wish they didn't embarrass the WCHA doing it.

Not an embarrassment at all. League wasn't that strong this year and BC is a damn good team. I think they could hang even more on Ferris on Saturday.The_Exiled_One wrote:I cry no tears for the goofers loss, just wish they didn't embarrass the WCHA doing it.

I was really impressed by Boston College freshman Johnny Gaudreau hckydb-5-6 141 lbs (Boston College lists him at 5-7 150). He was everywhere and his anticipation was unbelievable. He does a spin-o-rama in the corner and catches the puck right on his stick off a half board feed not to mention the puck possession and tic tac toe stuff.
I'm looking forward to watching him again against Ferris State.
I see Brooks Bertsch played with him last year at Dubuque (USHL).

I agree BC is a very, very good team but I surely didn't think the goofs would get beat like a rented muleRabid_Husky wrote:Not an embarrassment at all. Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work - Thomas Edison.

I wouldn't get too caught up in the score. Heck, SCSU was up 4-1 on Minnesota in the first game and then let them back in it late. They were pressing to score and their defense was spread completely to both points inviting the breaks up the middle and their transition game/ d were not covering for each other. I was surprised they didn't have much more d/puck support as the game went on.
They also took a lot of shots wide when they could have easily worked to the middle and opened up passing lanes. Plus the big wind ups played into their D. Boston College is a disciplined D that everyone should try to emulate.
Alt and Holl were trying the end board banks but they were good at anticipating them.
They are very good at covering the guys (passing lanes, anticipating, recognizing open passing options, containment) without the puck.
The Gophers got so caught up in their offensive game they were making major defensive mistakes.
The Gophers were also out coached. 2-3 of those goals were off designed plays that York set up on deep zone faceoffs. There were plenty of breaks where I saw York writing up a play and Lucia sitting there doing nothing.

Very funny. I think it is pretty accurate since they are from Vancouver.
It reminds me when I was in Oklahoma trying to explain where Minnesota was.

Sioux loose one guy so far (Nelson). Kristo coming back. They should be tough with what I've read about the guys they have already signed. Do these guys ever rebuild?

Wow, Eades was canned. It makes me wonder if they did it to make room for Steve Johnson. I don't know enough about Eades to know if he'd be a good fit at SCSU, but he obviously has a good track record for recruiting and offensive production.

Pretty big shock, one would tend to think there has to be an underlying story. Otherwise Hak must be getting pressure to make some changes since he hasn't won a title yet. They have all the tools to win it nearly every year, but just can't seem to finish the job.
If it would be a good fit I don't see a downside to having an Eades at SCSU, especially with his background and knowledge coming from a top tier program like UND. Not that it's likely to happen either but the guy is looking for work.
