Ex-North St. Paul and St. Cloud State hockey player Caitlin Hogan, who recently opened a weightlifting and group fitness gym in Long Beach, Calif., won the 53kg Women’s USA Weightlifting National Championship and Olympic trials in Salt Lake City and is headed for Senior Pan American competition in Cartagena, Colombia, next month.

St. Cloud State women's hockey announces new recruits for 2016-17
St. Cloud State University women's hockey has announced the addition of four student-athletes to its roster for the upcoming 2016-17 season. The group includes goaltender Janine Alder (Switzerland), forward Dana Rasmussen (Kasson, Minn.), forward Janna Haeg (Lakeville, Minn./South H.S.) and forward Katie Detert (Rhinelander, Wisc.).
